Graham Roberts praised Heung-Min Son after he starred in the win against Middlesbrough.
Tottenham recorded a 2-1 win in the Premier League and Son scored a decisive first-half brace.
Ben Gibson pulled a goal back for the home side in the second period but Spurs maintained their unbeaten league start.
The result has seen Mauricio Pochettino’s side rise to second in the table and Son has been a crucial factor in the club’s early success.
The attacker has now scored four league goals in as many appearances and cemented his starting position in a competitive squad.
Spurs legend Roberts has claimed that the 24-year-old delivered a “fantastic” performance in the win against Middlesbrough, as quoted by his personal Twitter account.
“Delighted again with the win and fantastic agains from Son,” he said.

Son has now scored 12 goals in just 45 matches for Spurs across all competitions since his arrival.
The South Korean international moved to White Hart Lane in 2015 after leaving German side Bayer Leverkusen.
He faces stiff competition from Christian Eriksen, Moussa Sissoko, Erik Lamela and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou for a wide role.
Son is currently in immaculate form and will be hopeful of featuring in the club’s mid-week clash against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.
