Graham Roberts has hailed Mousa Dembele’s strength on the ball as the best he has ever seen from any player.

The former Tottenham defender delivered the huge compliment to the Belgium international in the wake of his latest masterclass on Sunday.

Dembele was once again outstanding as Spurs convincingly beat Manchester United 3-0 following three goals in the space of six uplifting minutes at White Hart Lane.

The victory kept alive Tottenham’s slim title hopes following Leicester’s 2-0 win at Sunderland earlier in the day.

Spurs are seven points behind the Premier League leaders but cemented their position of second in the table and pulled six points clear of Arsenal in third.

Roberts has consistently praised the performances of central midfielder Dembele this season and once again paid tribute to the Belgian on Sunday night.

Goals from Dele Alli, Toby Alderweireld and Erik Lamela lifted Spurs to 65 points, although Leicester comfortably lead the way with 72 points with just five matches of the campaign remaining

In other Tottenham news, Moussa Dembele names three fringe players that are just as good as the regulars.
