Granit Xhaka has claimed that he believes Arsenal’s 1-1 draw against Tottenham was a “fair result”.
The midfield dynamo started alongside Francis Coquelin in the Gunners’ midfield, as he was given his first taste of North London rivalry by manager Jurgen Klopp.
Posting on his personal Instagram account, Xhaka revealed that he believed the result was an acceptable one but lauded the support from the home fans.
The 24-year-old came into the side after being suspended for receiving a straight red card against Premier League bogey team Swansea, as the Gunners staggered to a 3-2 win.
However, Arsene Wenger’s side had to settle for a point at the Emirates as Harry Kane scored from the penalty spot to cancel out Kevin Wimmer’s own goal.
Since his £35million move from German outfit Borussia Moenchengladbach Gladbach, Switzerland international Xhaka has made a total of 11 league and cup appearances for the Gunners.
Arsenal’s number 29 has developed somewhat of a combative reputation, being sent off twice already this season for club and country.
