Super sub Hadi Sacko has revealed his delight after Leeds secured a 3-2 win against Norwich at Carrow Road on Saturday.
Young midfielder Ronaldo Vieira stole the headlines in an enthralling match that saw the former Benfica youth player slam a shot into the bottom corner from 25 yards out in the 91st minute.
Sacko, who was introduced off the bench for Kemar Roofe in the 55th minute, revealed on his personal Twitter account that he was ecstatic with Leeds’ comeback that saw Pontus Jansson and Chris Wood also find the net.
Sacko, 22, was axed from the starting line up as manager Garry Monk made the bold move to start in-form striker Souleymane Doukara.
But the France-born attacker was instrumental in his side’s performance, providing a pacy attacking outlet on the left against a tired Norwich defence.
Sacko, who moved to Elland Road this summer on loan from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon, has hit the ground running with one goal and four assists in 17 league and cup encounters.
Leeds’ ninth win in 12 games sees them move into a playoff spot in the Championship, a world away from languishing above the drop zone earlier this season.
The Yorkshire giants will be looking to consolidate their position in the top six as they play host to Newcastle on November 20 in front of Elland Road’s first sell-out crowd in six years.
In other Leeds news, James Beattie has identified where Monk’s side can improve despite the win.
