Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to urge their club to sign Hull City’s Andrew Robertson.
The Anfield faithful’s messages came after a Liverpool Echo report claimed that the Reds were in “advanced talks” to sign the 23-year-old left-back in a deal worth around £8million.
It was said the deal is close to completion, but it is unlikely it will be confirmed before Liverpool fly to Hong Kong on Sunday for a pre-season tour.
Robertson was one of Hull’s top performer’s in the Premier League last season, but even his best efforts were not enough to arrest their slip into the Championship.
The Anfield faithful seemed keen on their club signing Robertson, as they believed him to be a good back up option, and a decent buy given the reported £8million transfer fee.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter.
Not bad in this market for a backup.

Don't worry about it, it's done. Hardly a big deal but it's a good signing. You'll see him next week

£8-10m for Andrew Robertson is worth a punt all day long if you take into account the ridiculous prices in football..Low risk.#LFC.

Robertson was a mainstay of Hull’s back line in 2016-17, and he played 39 league and cup games.
The 23-year-old joined the Tigers in the summer of 2014 in a £3million switch from Dundee United, and he has since made 115 appearances across all competitions.
He has been capped by Scotland on 15 occasions, and he played the full 90 minutes of his nation’s 2-2 World Cup qualifying draw with England last month.
In other Liverpool transfer news, this midfielder looks like he is on his way out of Anfield.
