Hector Bellerin has agreed the terms of a new Arsenal contract, Football Insider sources understand.

Bellerin  has been in negotiations with the Premier League club over an extended deal after breaking into the first team last season.

Football Insider understands the 20-year-old Spaniard has settled terms with the Gunners and is expected to sign a long-term agreement imminently.

Bellerin’s current deal expires in 2017 and Arsenal moved to tie him down following a series of impressive performances at right-back as stand-in for the injured Mathieu Debuchy in the second half of last season.

Bellerin made 28 appearances for the club in 2014-15 and was part of the defence that was the meanest in the Premier League between January and May.

The youngster made such strides that he was selected ahead of Debuchy even when the France international was fully fit in the final month of the campaign.

His emergence has also pushed Carl Jenkinson down the pecking order at Emirates Stadium and Arsenal will listen to offers for the England Under-21 international this summer.
