Alex Iwobi has revealed his Arsenal teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is always late for training.
Winger Chamberlain has found first-team football hard to come by in recent times, with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and now Iwobi in front of him in the pecking order.
The 23-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in English football, having progressed through the famous Southampton academy.
But his Gunners teammate Iwobi has dished the dirt on how he approaches training on a daily basis.
“He’s going to slaughter me, but Chamberlain,” Iwobi told football magazine FourFourTwo. “He is always late [for training], I haven’t been involved in the first-team that long, but it’s always him.”
England international Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently on international duty with his national side, after missing out on the touring party to France for Euro 2016.
He has made 24 appearances for the Three Lions, scoring five goals since his debut as a teenager against Norway in 2012.
This season Oxlade-Chamberlain has started five out of eight games scoring two goals, but Walcott’s impressive form at the start of this campaign has seen him play only 19 minutes in his last three league outings.
