Jack Wilshere has posted on Twitter that preparations for Bournemouth’s “big” game against Tottenham are done.
Spurs will travel to Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium on Saturday, with the north London club the only unbeaten side left in the Premier League.
However, the fixture holds more meaning for Wilshere, who is currently on loan from fierce rivals Arsenal and has a history of controversial run ins with the White Hart Lane outfit.
The midfielder took to Twitter on his personal account on Friday to state that he was finished with his preparations for the weekend and labelled the encounter a “big” one, which could signify for him personally and the club.
Wilshere, 24, joined Bournemouth in a quest to get more game time after a struggle with injuries with Arsene Wenger’s team in the past year.
He was once regarded as one of England’s brightest young talents and he will be keen to try and fulfil that early potential.
Bournemouth are now sat in 11th place in the Premier League table and with Wilshere they could be looking to achieve their highest ever finish in the English pyramid.
They will welcome a Tottenham side on Saturday, who are currently sat in third place with 18 points after eight encounters.
