Jamie Carragher believes Philippe Coutinho is the most in-form player in the Premier League following his latest masterclass.

The Sky Sports pundit took to Twitter on Sunday to respond to Coutinho’s stunning performance in the Merseysiders’ 6-1 demolition of Watford.

Carragher asked fans on his personal Twitter account whether there was anybody else playing better in the Premier League.

The Liverpool midfielder scored his fifth league goal, and sixth in all competitions, on Sunday, and has also supplied five league assists.

Coutinho was recently named the club’s player of the month following a number of scintillating performances in October

The 24 year-old joined Liverpool for just £8.5 million in January 2013 and has gone on to become the club’s Player of the Year for the last two successive seasons.

He has enjoyed some of his best form so far this season and has been impressive for Brazil too, scoring against Bolivia during the last international break.

Liverpool moved to the top of the Premier League table following their 6-1 victory as they climbed above Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City.

In other Liverpool news, fans reacted to Giorgini Wijnaldum’s omission from the starting line-up against Watford.
