Jordan Henderson praised Liverpool teammate Adam Lallana on Twitter after he got on the scoresheet in England’s 3-0 win over Scotland at Wembley on Friday night.

Gareth Southgate’s side picked up three points in a crucial World Cup qualifier as goals from Daniel Sturridge, Lallana and Gary Cahill saw off an abject Scottish side.

All three goals were headed in with Reds duo Sturridge and Lallana opening the scoring for the hosts.

Midfielder Henderson posted this message on his personal Twitter account after England’s win:

The win at Wembley means Southgate’s men stay top of Group F with ten points from their four games, while Gordon Strachan’s side are fifth on four points, only above Malta.

After the international break the Reds trio will return to Merseyside to take on Claude Puel’s Southampton at St Mary’s.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are flying high in the league this season as they have picked up an impressive 26 points from 11 games.

As a result they top the Premier League table with the German hoping to bring back the English league title to Anfield for the first time since the 1989/90 season.
