Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he is delighted to be given a home draw against Tottenham in the EFL Cup.
Liverpool will host Spurs in the last 16 of the competition and the draw also ensured a repeat of the Manchester derby, whilst Chelsea visit West Ham in the pick of the other ties.
The Reds were beaten finalists to Manchester City last season in the League Cup and will be hoping to reach another Wembley final, with no European distractions this season.
Liverpool have already face Spurs in the Premier League this campaign and the teams shared the points in a 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane.
Klopp has revealed that he is pleased to be given the home tie against Spurs and is excited about the match, as quoted by the club’s Twitter account.
“It’s exciting, a big boost for the competition,” he said. “I’m happy about playing at home.”

The latest instalment of games between the two clubs will take place in the week beginning 24 October.
Liverpool eased through their third-round game with a comfortable 3-0 win against Championship side Derby on Tuesday night.
Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs also secured a convincing win to progress, with a 5-0 against League One side Gillingham.
Liverpool have been in remarking goal scoring form this season and have netted 19 goals in just seven games.
Spurs boast an impressive defensive record, with just four goals conceded in their opening seven fixtures.
