Kemar Roofe has posted a defiant message on Instagram hinting that there’s more to come from the Leeds attacker.
23-year-old Roofe joined Leeds in the summer from Oxford United – where he scored 31 goals in 65 games – for a fee of £3million but he hasn’t delivered as much in a Leeds shirt.
In 18 league and cup appearances, Roofe has scored just the one goal, although that was enough to secure a valuable three points in the 1-0 win against Wolves.
However, fans are expecting more from the player that was voted League 2 Player of the Year last season.
Thankfully it looks like Roofe is on the same page, as he posted a message on his personal Instagram account stating that goals will come.
Roofe was pictured in action in the Burton penalty area and his message was simple: “Keep knocking…”
Leeds travel to Carrow Road on Saturday for a game that could prove to be a six-pointer come the end of the season.
Norwich are currently fourth in the league and out for revenge after Leeds dumped them out of the EFL Cup on penalties.
In other Leeds news, Noel Whelan has said that this Leeds player has real Premier League quality.
