Liverpool will assess the head injury James Milner suffered against Manchester United ahead of the West Brom clash, according to a report.
The Express have claimed that the 30-year-old, who was brought off after 86 minutes against United will face an assessment, but is expected to be fit for the encounter against the Midlands outfit.
It is reported that the injury is not believed to be serious and Milner should at least be in contention to face Tony Pulis’ side on Saturday at Anfield.
The former England international has taken over the left-back role under Jurgen Klopp.
The German manager, clearly unhappy with the defensive uncertainty of Alberto Moreno opted to play the versatile Milner over the Spaniard.
The former Manchester ace, who stated when he moved to Anfield in the summer of 2015 that he wanted to play in the middle of the park has played in eight fixtures for Liverpool in the new campaign, scoring four goals.
He has been a key part of the Merseyside team, which has performed well in the league this season.
The Reds are now heading into the clash against West Brom sat in fourth place with 17 points from their first eight fixtures.
