Mousa Dembele and Christian Eriksen are doubts for Tottenham’s Europa League clash against Borussia Dortmund on Thursday night.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino revealed at his media briefing on Wednesday afternoon that the key pair will undergo tests before being given the all-clear to feature in the White Hart showdown.
Dortmund won the first leg 3-0 in Germany last Thursday and are strong favourites to progress into the last 16 of the competition.
Dembele and Eriksen are two of the team’s outstanding players and Pochettino is likely to err on the side of caution if there is any possibility they could break down against the Bundesliga challengers.

It is possible Pochettino will once again select a weakened team as he prioritises Spurs’ Premier League challenge.
The Londoners face Bournemouth in the league on Sunday and the manager could make as many as eight changes on Thursday.
In other Tottenham injury news, Jan Vertonghen has targeted the match to make his comeback from a serious knee injury.
