Liverpool fans will get a good look at three of their new signings in Friday’s pre-season game against Tranmere.

New signings Sadio Mane, Joel Matip and Loris Karius are all in the starting 11 for the friendly and will put on a Liverpool shirt for the first time.

Former Southampton forward Mane joined the Merseyside team for a staggering £34million recently and a lot will be expected of the Senegalese International. He grabbed 11 goals in the Premier League last season and added six assists for the South-coast club.

The attacker became the fifth player to move from Southampton to Liverpool in the last two years and followed in the footsteps of Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Nathaniel Clyne.

Goalkeeper Loris Karius and centre-back Joel Matip both join from the Bundesliga and will be under pressure to adapt to English football quickly.

Mario Balotelli was omitted from the squad and seems destined for a move away from Anfield in this window.

Jurgen Klopp should get a good look at his squad in Friday’s match, with many of the high-profile names still recovering from their excursions in Euro 2016 and the Copa America respectively.

In other Liverpool news, they are set to agree a deal for attacker after top-level talks.
