Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Liverpool may be without utility star James Milner after a bout of illness.
The 30-year-old has been filling in at left-back this season following the unconvincing form of Alberto Moreno, and was expected to start against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
However, Klopp was quoted on the personal Twitter account of Liverpool Echo correspondent James Pearce as saying that Milner, “Was ill on Tuesday. Yesterday he did a running session. We will see how he is today.”

Despite playing from left back, Milner has been in fine form this season in front of goal as the Merseyside giants’ penalty taker.
Four goals in nine league and cup appearances as well as a solid display in his unfavoured position on the left side of defence has seen Liverpool’s vice captain become one of the first names on the team sheet.
However, it may be a different case tomorrow as Klopp sweats over the fitness of the former Leeds and Aston Villa star.
A win against Crystal Palace could see Liverpool finish the weekend on top of the Premier League pile, if Manchester City and Arsenal drop points.
Since his move to Anfield on a free transfer from Manchester City last summer, Milner has made 54 league and cup appearances under both Klopp and former manager Brendan Rodgers.
