Jurgen Klopp heaped praise on Adama Traore saying he is “impossible” to defend against after the winger starred in Liverpool’s 3-0 win against Middlesbrough.
The 20-year-old wideman was in fantastic form for Aitor Karanka’s Premier League new boys, as he won a number of free kicks and got to the byline past left-back James Milner.
Despite the result, Klopp spoke of his admiration for the Spanish star on Liverpool’s official website as he looked to provide Middlesbrough’s creative spark.
“He was Middlesbrough’s biggest threat, wasn’t he? He is quite quick, actually,” Klopp said. “That’s difficult and it changed the whole game.
“There is always counter-attack with a player like Traore. It’s nearly impossible to always defend but today it worked quite well so I’m happy.”
A number of powerful runs from the former Barcelona ace caught the eye of Klopp, as Liverpool looked to crowd him out when he had possession.
England international Adam Lallana continued his fine form in front of goal for the Merseyside giants, by notching a brace with two well-timed finishes from close range.
Now on six goals for the season, while adding the same amount in assists, Lallana continues to produce the kind of form that caught the attention of French giants Paris Saint-Germain last month.
Divock Origi scored Liverpool’s other goal thanks to an inch-perfect assist from Lallana, which sees the 21-year-old move on to five goals from five games.
The win for Klopp sees Liverpool move up to second in the Premier League after Arsenal lost to Everton on Tuesday night at Goodison Park.
In other Liverpool news, Jamie Carragher has said this about Lallana following Wednesday night’s win.
