Jurgen Klopp has identified the only way Liverpool can be successful in the Premier League next season.

The Reds manager is currently preparing for his side’s first game of the new domestic campaign against Arsenal on Sunday.

The Anfield outfit will travel to north London in the next couple of days and will want to get their season off to the perfect start.

“Consistency is only way to be successful,” Klopp told the Liverpool Echo. “We’ve to be very serious preparing during the week for games to be in best shape we can.

“The style of play, the shape, the injury situation… a lot of things make consistency. The thing with Leicester was that they could play nearly the whole season with the same team, that’s good. They had different ways to be successful.”

The German manager arrived in Merseyside last October and is currently contracted to the club until 2022 after signing a new deal in the summer..

Despite not qualifying for European football last season, Klopp guided his side to the final of the Europa League but lost out to Sevilla in the final.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager will have a task on his hands to compete for a top-six finish this season after Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all added serious fire-power to their squads.

In other Liverpool team news, youngster Harry Wilson has revealed that manager Klopp was one of the main reasons why he extended his Anfield stay.
