Kyle Walker has hailed the Tottenham support on Twitter following the 2-0 victory over Manchester City on Sunday.

Two first half goals, which included an own goal from Aleksandar Kolarov and coolly dispatched Dele Alli finish ensured Spurs a victory against the league leaders.

Walker described the noise at White Hart Lane as “something else” on his personal Twitter account following his side’s impressive victory.

Walker started and played the full 90 minutes against Pep Guardiola’s side.

He is a key figure in a defence which has conceded just three Premier League goals in seven fixtures in the new campaign.

Walker has also joined the long list of Spurs players who have extended their stay at Tottenham recently, with the England international penning a new five-year deal at the club.

He will be expected to join up with Gareth Southgate’s international squad soon with the national team set to play Malta and Slovenia in the World Cup qualifying campaign in the next two weeks.

Tottenham are now in second place, and one point behind league leaders Manchester City with a clash coming up against Tony Pulis’ West Brom side after the international break.

In other Tottenham team news, Mauricio Pochettino has stated Spurs need to be more “consistent” in the future after their 2-0 victory over Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
