Tottenham star Erik Lamela has been teaching Danny Rose how to mock Arsenal in Spanish.

Argentina-born Spanish speaker Lamela, 24, has been sharing some choice phrases with his English teammate.

The pair went through some stock sayings before their attention turned to north London rivals Arsenal.

The lesson ended with the Lamela instructing the full-back to describe, in Spanish, his first game in north London. He said: “I scored on my debut against Arsenal and it was fantastic”.

Despite missing a penalty against Manchester City, Lamela was clearly in good spirits following Spurs’ 2-0 win at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Tottenham fans have seen their side take 17 points from seven games this term.

Mauricio Pochettino has reinvigorated his squad after they fell agonisingly short in the race for Premier League glory last season.

The north London club finished their last domestic campaign in third place and will be hoping to rectify last season’s wrongs this time around.

Pochettino’s side take on West Brom after the international break before traveling to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.

In other Tottenham news, Harry Redknapp admitted he discovered his players bet on their own matches, in contravention of Football Association rules – and Spurs fans took to Twitter.
