Leading injury data analyst Ben Dinnery is expecting Georginio Wijnaldum to return for Liverpool this weekend.

He also stated James Milner will be assessed ahead of the clash against West Brom on Saturday after picking up a slight head injury against Manchester United.

Wijnaldum was injured while on international duty for Holland during his side’s 1-0 defeat against France.

The midfielder did not feature for Jurgen Klopp’s side in their goal-less draw against United on Monday evening.

However, Dinnery is expecting the Dutchman to feature in his eighth appearance of the Premier League season on Saturday.

The news will come as a boost for Reds’ fans who felt their side missed the influence of Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana in midfield on Monday evening.

Klopp’s side have made a bright start to the season and rivals United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Leicester were all unable to get a victory against Liverpool.

This has largely been down to the high-pressing, attacking style of play Klopp has implemented.

The success of this philosophy has relied largely on the midfield input from Wijnaldum, Lallana and Wijnaldum who have all been in excellent form

Liverpool’s vice-captain, James Milner has been equally valuable, performing at left-back to fill in for out-of-form Alberto Moreno.

If both are available, they will be expecting to start against West Brom on Saturday.

In the latest Liverpool team news, here’s the expected 4-3-3 line-up against West Brom.
