Bradford are closing in on the loan signing of Leeds forward Lee Erwin, according to a report.

The Scotland youth international has had an indifferent season at Elland Road after moving to England from Motherwell last summer.

HITC Sport claim that the rangy striker is set to make his second loan move away from Leeds since joining, after making three appearances during a short loan spell at Bury this season.

Erwin has fallen down the pecking order after new manager Garry Monk has brought in Swedish striker Marcus Antonsson for £2million, as well as versatile forward Hadi Sacko on loan from Sporting Lisbon.

Leeds number 19 Erwin didn’t make his debut until November last year, starting just two games for Yorkshire side last year and only making nine appearances in total.

Stuart McCall knows Erwin well and was the man to give him his first-team debut at Fir Park, and now wants him at Bradford to give the Bantams added firepower in the final third.

HITC Sport also claim that a number of clubs have spoken with Leeds and former Swansea manager Monk.

But it appears that Bradford are in pole position to sign Erwin, who only has 14 career goals to his name.

In other Leeds news, fans have taken to Twitter to react about recent signing Sacko.
