Leeds goalkeeper Marco Silvestri was named in the Team of the round as his penalty shootout heroics secured his side a place in the quarter-finals.
Garry Monk was named the fantasy team’s best manager too as Leeds recorded an emphatic victory against Norwich on Tuesday evening.
The EFL Cup’s official Twitter account released the team on Friday afternoon and Silvestri’s addition was unsurprising given his crucial penalty shoot-out saves to deny Norwich.
Leeds drew 2-2 in extra-time and Silvestri had to be on top form to make some terrific saves, denying Robbie Brady and Alex Pritchard from the penalty spot.

The Whites have lined up a tough quarter-final clash against Liverpool in November and Jurgen Klopp was arguably one of Monk’s biggest rivals for the accolade of Manager of the Round.
Klopp’s side defeated Tottenham 2-0 despite making 11 changes from their Premier League squad that faced West Brom on Saturday.
Debut right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold made the team alongside Silvestri and there was room for Daniel Sturridge too.
There were three Newcastle players in the squad as they thrashed opponents, Preston 6-0, with Rafa Benitez again losing out to Monk on the manager’s role.
The team in full: Silvestri, Alexander-Arnold, Cheikhou Kouyate, Michael Dawson, Ander Herrara, Mohamed Diame, Matt Ritchie, Sofiane Boufal, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sturridge and Aleksander Mitrovic.
