Leeds are closely monitoring Nantes striker Yacine Bammou, according to a report.
Reliable French publication France Football claim the Yorkshire giants are one of three Championship teams battling for the services of the Morocco international.
It is said Brighton and Wolves are also keen on the 24-year-old forward, who has accumulated three international caps.
The report states Nantes are willing to listen to offers for Bammou, who is contracted to the club until the summer of 2019.
Leeds have bought six players this summer but manager Garry Monk is still looking at options to improve his squad and a new attacker appears to be on his agenda even though Marcus Antonsson and Kemar Roofe have signed over the last month.
Bammou, 24, has been a regular for Ligue 1 side Nantes since his arrival in 2014 and has made 77 appearances, scoring nine goals and supplying six assists.
Although not a prolific scorer, Bammou is very effective as a target man and his physicality could be well suited to the rigours of the Championship.
In other Leeds transfer news, the club have tabled a bid for a 24-year-old full-back.
