Leeds fans took to Twitter to hail academy product Ronaldo Vieira – and claimed he is making a bigger impact in his team than teenage Liverpool counterparts Trent Alexander Arnold, Ben Woodburn and Ovie Ejaria.
Alexander-Arnold, 18, and Ejaria, 19, both started their second matches for the Merseyside giants in their 2-0 League Cup quarter-final win over Leeds on Tuesday night.
Woodburn, 17, then came off the bench to electrify Anfield with the second goal, which secured his place as the youngest goalscorer in Liverpool’s history.
The trio have all caught the eye of observers in the League Cup this season but Leeds supporters believe the performances of Vieira, 18, deserve a greater degree of attention.
The central midfielder was outstanding against Liverpool in what many claimed was his best performance yet in a Leeds shirt.
He looked comfortable up against international duo Emre Can and Georginio Wijnaldum, in a display that demonstrated the progress he has made this season.
Leeds fans are convinced they have an outstanding young player of their own with his best years ahead of him.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Alexander-Arnold and Woodburn received all the plaudits last night. Rightly so. But Vieira was outstanding for #lufc

Great that the lad comes on and scores in front of the Kop but nobody tell me Vieira wasn’t the best young lad out there tonight #lufc
