Garry Monk missed out on the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award – and Leeds supporters were disappointed with the outcome.
The Whites boss was listed alongside Newcastle’s Rafael Benitez, Brighton’s Chris Hughton and Preston’s Simon Grayson, who had a spell at Elland Road as a manger.
Newcastle manager Benitez swooped the award after his side won five consecutive league matches in October.
Sky Bet Championship announced their monthly winner on their official Twitter account.

Leeds fans feel that Monk should have won the award after helping the club climb into the play-off positions.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Annoys me the fact that Benitez has won manager of the month, Monk has done absolute wonders for Leeds. #lufc

Benitez winning Championship Manager of the Month is a joke. Garry Monk is doing a more incredible job at Leeds imo.

Leeds won three of their five league games in October, as well as edging past Norwich in the EFL Cup fourth-round.
The Whites recorded victories against Barnsley, Wolves and Burton, as well as a draw against Wigan and a narrow 1-0 defeat to Derby.
Monk’s side have been in great form recently and are currently sixth-placed in the table during the international break.
Ex-Swansea boss Monk moved to Elland Road in the summer and endured a difficult start, picking up just one point from his opening three league games.
He has now begun to pick a settled side and several of his senior players and now beginning to perform on a regular basis, including goal scorer Chris Wood and popular defender Pontus Jansson.
