Leeds supporters were unhappy with manager Garry Monk’s decision to drop striker Marcus Antonsson to the bench for their clash against Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon.
The former Premier League manager decided to field forward Chris Wood as a lone striker as the majority of supporters criticised Monk’s decision.
One Leeds fans questioned the logic of their manager for dropping Antonsson who was named the club’s player of the month for August.
However, another supporter pointed out that Wood’s operates much better as a lone striker compared to Antonsson, as he backed Monk’s decision.
Additionally, another fan stated that the Swedish striker coming off the bench, alongside Kemar Roofe will make them dangerous opposition in the second-half.
Monk’s side secured a last-gasp winner against Blackburn on Tuesday night, as the under-fire manager looks for his third victory of the season against Cardiff.
The Whites sit in 18th positon in the Championship table with seven points having registered two wins, four losses and one draw so far this season.
Here is a selection of Leeds supporters reacting on Twitter to the team news against Cardiff.
Why is Antonsson not starting?
Player of the month and dropped for Wood. Perfect sense #lufc

I rate Antonsson a lot but the lone striker role doesn't really suit him, not surprised Wood is back in #lufc

Antonsson and roofe to come on against a tired defence I'm cool with that plus antonsson isn't a lone striker #lufc

I'd have kept Antonsson up top and then maybe have brought Wood on if things weren't going our way. A poor decision in my view.

@PhilHayYEP disagree. If it's to work he has to pressure defenders, be better with ball in to feet. Antonsson is that but hope Wood adapts

Bridcutt evidently not fit to play but I like Vieira so no problem there but why replace Antonsson? Wood can't play up top on his own.

Can understand the recall of Chris Wood. Didn't think lone striker role really suited Antonsson on Tuesday night. #lufclive
