Ronaldo Vieira scored the winning penalty in Leeds’ thrilling League Cup win over Norwich on Tuesday night – and fans took to Twitter to commend his cool head.

The academy product, 18, kept his nerve to put away the crucial spot-kick to secure a 3-2 shootout win for Garry Monk’s side and secure a place in the quarter-finals of the competition.

In a thrilling cup tie, Leeds twice came from a goal behind to secure a 2-2 draw after extra time of the all-Championship clash at Elland Road on Tuesday night.

The penalty victory for Monk’s side builds on the progress they have made in the Championship, where they are place in 10th and are now just three points adrift of the play-off positions.

Leeds supporters took to social media to pay tribute to central midfielder Vieira for providing further evidence of the immense progress he has made this season.
