Leeds supporters on Twitter stated that it is a big game for Ronaldo Vieira in their Championship clash against Cardiff on Saturday afternoon.
The 18-year-old starts in manager Garry Monk’s midfield ahead of Kalvin Phillips, as captain Liam Bridcutt misses out through injury leaving the Whites midfield inexperienced.
Supporters pointed out that this is the time for the attacking-midfielder to prove himself as a number of key players are missing.
Another Leeds fan was surprised that 20-year-old Phillips was named on the bench as Monk opted for Vieira.
One fan did express his worry as to how light the Leeds midfield is with Vieira partnering Eunan O’Kane in the middle of the park.
Monk’s side secured a last-gasp winner against Blackburn on Tuesday night, as the former Premier League manager looks for his sides third victory of the season.
The Whites sit in 18th positon in the Championship table with seven points having picked up two wins, four losses and one draw so far this season.
Here is a selection of Leeds supporters on Twitter reacting to the team news against Cardiff.
In other Leeds team news, Rob Green names the only other streetwise player in the squad.
