Chris Wood played 90 minutes in the victory against Burton on Saturday – and the club’s supporters expressed their delight on Twitter with his performance.
The Whites continued their impressive form by earning a 2-0 victory at Elland Road and they have now climbed to ninth in the table, just one point adrift of the play-off positions.
Striker Wood scored a late penalty in the 83rd minute, before Souleymane Doukara secured the three points in stoppage time.
Wood, 24, has made a fantastic start to the season and scoring 10 goals in 18 matches across all competitions.
Leeds fans were thrilled with his display against Burton and hailed their top scorer.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
And Chris Wood deserves a hell of a lot of credit. Gets insane amount of stick at times but he's been exceptional this season #lufc

Chris Wood was Man of the Match today. Unreal performance up top. Ayling was quality too, no way Berardi gets in above him. #lufc

Wood has been condemned by fans in the past for his overall play, but he is silencing the critics with his goal-scoring record.
He has made 55 appearances for the Whites since his arrival in 2015, scoring 23 goals and supplying four assists in the process.
The former Leicester striker has now begun to settle at Elland Road and is becoming a firm fan-favourite.
Garry Monk’s side have recorded three wins in the space of seven days, after beating Norwich in the EFL Cup on penalties and a narrow 1-0 triumph against Wolves last Saturday.
