Leeds fans have expressed their excitement on Twitter after Garry Monk handed young starlet Mallik Wilks a place on the bench against Reading on Tuesday evening.
It is the first time the 17-year-old academy star has made the senior 18-man match day squad after a prolific goal record in the youth system.
His most recent fixture for the youth team was a 3-2 defeat in the FA Youth Cup against Hull, where he scored both goals.
Leeds fans are always happy to see youth given a chance and many on social media have expressed their delight that Monk is handing first team opportunities to the clubs young stars.

That bench does not offer many options to change things up. Hopefully Wilks is a strong wildcard

The Leeds academy has created a large number of stars in it’s history, including Aaron Lennon, Paul Robinson, Jonathan Woodgate and Fabian Delph.
The current team also boasts academy graduates Ronaldo Vieria and Charlie Taylor, while Kalvin Phillips misses out through suspension.
The Yorkshire giants are keen to return to past glories after once being one of the most successful sides in England.
They are currently sat in sixth place in the Championship table, while their Tuesday opponents Reading are sat in third.
