Marcus Antonsson scored in Leeds’ thrilling League Cup win over Norwich on Tuesday night – and fans took to Twitter to commend his display.
Antonsson made it 1-1 shortly before half-time of a sensational tie with a finish from close range.
Leeds scored another equaliser in extra time through Antonsson’s replacement Chris Wood and then won the penalty shoot-out 3-2 to secure a place in the quarter-finals of the League Cup.
Antonsson, who joined in the summer Swedish club Kalmar, was handed his first start since the third-round League Cup win over Blackburn on 20 September.
He responded with his third goal for the club in what was his 14th appearance in all competitions and was given a standing ovation when he was withdrawn midway through the second half.

If tonight proved anything its that Antonsson deserves more starts, Mowatt is still grim and Grimes would be mint as the invisible man #lufc

Ridiculous substitutions from Monk. No need to take off Doukara and Antonsson. We were bossing the game. Making 3 changes has cost us #lufc
