Hadi Sacko delivered an outstanding display in Leeds’ 2-0 Championship win over Reading on Tuesday night – and supporters took to Twitter to hail him.

The on-loan Sporting Lisbon terrorised the visitors’ defence, particularly in the first half, with a series of penetrating runs down the right flank.

Sacko set up the opening goal after 19 minutes for Chris Wood with a cross front the right that arrived via a deflection to the striker, who buried his 14th goal of the season.

Wood was withdrawn after 33 minutes due to injury but Leeds continued to dominate and a late Souleymane Doukara penalty secured the three points for Garry Monk’s side.

Sacko has had a quiet few weeks but was back to his best against Reading, who remain in third in the table, and supporters paid tribute to his performance.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Leeds’ 11th league win of an increasingly impressive season lifts them once place to fifth place in the Championship.

Monk’s side have now accumulated 35 points from 21 league matches although they are 10 points adrift of new leaders Brighton.

In other Leeds news, these are the first two signings that incoming new owner Andrea Radrizzani will make in the January transfer window.
