Alex Mowatt has been picked to start on the wing for Leeds’ clash against Derby on Saturday – and fans of the Yorkshire giants have taken to Twitter to state they’d rather have Kemar Roofe in the team.
The 21-year-old youngster is usually considered a central player, but with both Kalvin Phillips and Eunan O’Kane in the team ahead of him, Mowatt will have to settle for a wide role.
However, this has seen Roofe sat on the bench, with many supporters of Leeds taking to social media to state that they’d rather have their £3million signing playing out wide.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Not sure about Mowatt out wide again #lufc

I wouldn't play Mowatt on the left hand side of a midfield, but what do I know. I wouldn't have played Bowyer out wide either! #LUFC

Mowatt? About time he delivered and repaid the faith being put in him #lufc

Why is Mowatt on the wing? £3 million for a player in Roofe and we don't use him when needed. Mowatt can't run. #lufc

Not gonna twist and moan about Mowatt starting over Roofe (although I can't understand it) just don't rate him at at all. Anyway c'mon #lufc
