Leeds are interested in signing defender Harold Voyer, according to a report.
French outlet Foot Mercato claim that the Whites are eyeing the 20-year-old, who is available on a free transfer after his contract with French giants Paris Saint-Germain expired at the beginning of July.
The report details that they face tough completion from Premier League club Newcastle for his signature, while Championship rivals Fulham are also keen.
Voyer has been an ever-present in the PSG youth set-up, but is now on the search for a new club to continue his development.
The left footed defender has represented France at Under-19 level and is a highly rated talent.
Football Insider verdict:
Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen has already been busy in bringing in both midfield and attacking options this summer, but his squad looks slightly bare in defence. Voyer has emerged as an exciting talent at PSG, but has been unable to make the breakthrough to their first team. He is yet to experience first-team action and it would be a major step to through him into the Leeds senior set-up. However, he has shown promise with the national side and could be a big talent in the future. Meanwhile, Christiansen also needs to sign proven players, preferably someone who can fill the void of loan star Kyle Bartley.
In other Leeds transfer news, they are keen on a defender from Championship rivals Aston Villa.
