Fabio Cannavaro has been linked to the soon-to-be vacant Leeds managerial post – and Twitter thinks someone is having a laugh.
A report by the Daily Mail on Tuesday claimed that Massimo Cellino has lost patience with current coach Steve Evans and is already lining up a replacement.
Cellino is expected to turn back towards his homeland for a new Leeds manager and it has been further claimed that Cannavaro is the Italian’s first choice.
The news set Twitter alight on Wednesday with many Leeds fans not quite believing the latest twist in the Whites’ managerial merry-go-round.
If Cannavaro becomes Leeds manager I'll get a shirt with Wootton on the back

LOL at the thought of Cannavaro managing Leeds in the English 2nd division. Potentially worse than big Steve.

The only way I'll be happy with Cannavaro joining Leeds is if he comes with a pair of football boots and the DeLorean #lufc
