Leeds’ 2-0 victory against Cardiff on Tuesday meant successive league wins for the team for the first time since December – but Steve Evans has still not won over dissatisfied supporters.
The Leeds manager is a divisive figure among fans with many hoping his side’s recent run of poor form might end in his sacking.
However, Evans has managed to steady the ship by steering the club to two wins in the space of four days and achieve the Whites’ first league double over Cardiff since the 1983-’84 season.
Twitter being Twitter, that did not stop many Leeds supporters poking fun at the manager.
Evans’ chatty nature angered Massimo Cellino last week after Leeds were thrashed 4-0 by Brighton and it seems to have struck a chord with the above fans.
Nevertheless, there was some support for Evans on Twitter, especially in light of the wave of criticism against the Leeds manager when the teamsheets came out just before the game.
Another away trip awaits Leeds next, Evans takes his side to face Blackburn at Ewood Park on Saturday in the Championship.
