Sam Bryam has expressed his delight at winning a prestigious award for his December performances for Leeds.
The versatile midfielder has been crowned the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month alongside Mesut Ozil, who won the Premier League award, Tom Aldred and Gareth Evans.
Bryam has received the Championship prize for December, in which he scored three goals and grabbed an assist to help Leeds stay unbeaten during the month.
The 22-year-old saw off competition from Blackburn defender Shane Duffy and Wolves winger Jordan Graham.
Byram took to social network site Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to express his gratitude. “over the moon to have won player of the month! Thankyou to everyone that voted for me, really appreciate it,” he wrote.

Byram, who has been playing at right midfield with growing success, has refused to sign a new contract and a string of Premier League clubs looking to acquire his services at a relatively knock-down price.
A source close to Byram has told Football Insider that Liverpool, Aston Villa and Tottenham are among the team keen on acquiring the services of the player, who can also slot in at full-back.
