Garry Monk says Leeds supporters can expect to see a few more new faces arriving at Elland Road in the coming days.

The Leeds boss was talking after his side’s final pre-season game ahead of the new Championship campaign and revealed the club had a few deals in the works.

Monk refused to name names or even what position he would like to strengthen, but he did say Leeds was not finished with their transfer business just yet.

“There will be always be positions and as a manager I could probably tell you that there’s always positions that you would love to strengthen,” said Monk, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“But we have identified them and I am sure you will see it in the coming days. You will see the positions that we are trying to look for and then we go from there.

“But I don’t talk about players. We keep that in house. We keep our business respectful.”

Asked if Leeds supporters could expect a new signing before their Championship opener against QPR, Monk said there was a good chance there would be.

He said: “Of course. We are working in a good way and I have said before, I keep saying it, there’s many facets to a deal that you need to consider.

“It’s not always from the side of the club that will want a player.”

Leeds will travel to Loftus Road on August 7 to face QPR and will be desperate to get off to a good start.

The Whites have already laid out their intentions publicly that they want to challenge for a play-off place this season and it us up to Monk and his players to back that talk up on the pitch.

Monk has already said he is looking for improvement from his players in one specific area between now and Sunday.

In other Leeds news, another former Swansea player is being targeted by the club.
