Luke Murphy, Toumani Diagouraga and Ross Turnbull were not named in the Leeds senior squad listed on the back of the matchday programme on Saturday, according to a report.
Yorkshire publication the Yorkshire Evening Post has claimed that the trio’s futures at the club look increasingly in doubt following their omission from the official club publication at the weekend.
The back of the programme traditionally lists all the players with shirt numbers in the senior squad, and would have been expected to include Murphy, Diagouraga and Turnbull.
Leeds hosted Barnsley at Elland Road, with the home side winning the three points in a 2-1 victory.
The three players between them have made just two appearances between them under Garry Monk, with their futures at the club already up in the air before the public omission at the weekend.
Diagouraga only moved to Elland Road in January under previous boss Steve Evans in a £575,000 deal, but he has not made Monk’s 18-man matchday squad since the opening day 3-0 defeat against QPR.
Meanwhile, Murphy who only extended his stay at the club until 2019 last summer, has also only featured in one tie for Monk in the EFL Cup against Luton.
Turnbull’s current deal runs out in the summer and after the addition of Rob Green in the last window the former Chelsea goalkeeper has became the third choice at the club, also behind Marco Silvestri.
The Yorkshire giants are currently 11th in the Championship under the former Swansea boss with 16 points from 11 matches and they could be making a surprise run for a play-off spot.
In other Leeds team news, fans reacted to Pontus Jansson’s inclusion in line-up against Barnsley on Saturday.
