Leigh Griffiths has taken to Twitter to hail his team-mate Moussa Dembele following his hat-trick in Celtic’s victory against Rangers on Saturday afternoon.
Brendan Rodgers’ team romped to a 5-1 win at Celtic Park in the first Old Firm derby of the season.
Griffiths missed the Scottish Premiership fixture through injury but his replacement provided a perfect hat-trick with a left-footed, right-footed and a headed goal.
Griffiths, who was the club’s top goal scorer last season, praised the performance of 20-year-old Dembele on his personal Twitter account and gave him a “5 star” rating.
5 star performance today . @MDembele_10 outstanding . Fans – incredible. Gutted not to be involved but that's football. 🍀🍀

Dembele grabbed two goals in the first-half and added a third late on when Rangers were reduced to just 10 men, as Philippe Senderos received a second yellow card for a needless handball.
He has now scored seven goals in 11 matches for Celtic since his transfer from Fulham during the summer.
Rodgers recruited the youngster to provide competition for Griffiths in attack.
Griffiths, 26, led the line with huge success last season, bagging 40 goals and providing eight assists in 51 games in all competitions.
Brendan Rodgers could face a selection headache for Celtic’s Champions League meeting with Barcelona on Wednesday if Griffiths is passed fit to play.
