Liam Cooper hailed Leeds’ victory against Norwich on Saturday evening posting “what a game” before congratulating Ronaldo Vieira on his late goal.

The Yorkshire giants battled to a stoppage time 3-2 victory at Carrow Road in the Championship with goals from Chris Wood, Pontus Jansson and Vieira proving too much for Norwich, who scored through Robbie Brady and Kyle Lafferty.

Club captain Cooper, who watched the match from the bench was full of praise for his team on his personal Twitter account, while singling out Vieira for his late winner.

The win has elevated Leeds into sixth place after 16 fixtures, earning 26 points.

They will continue to look ahead in the league table, rather than behind as they sit just three points away from Huddersfield in third place.

Garry Monk’s side will face a tough battle against top of the league Newcastle at Elland Road after the international break.

The match has sold out at the famous ground in what is expected to be an enthralling encounter between two of England’s second tier’s biggest clubs.

Monk will be hoping that home advantage will be on his side in two weeks time, as Leeds look to put an end to their 12-year wait for Premier League football.

In other Leeds news, Monk has claimed that Leeds are ready to take on all-comers in the Championship.
