Liverpool have compiled a four-man left-back shortlist ahead of the summer transfer window, Football Insider sources understand.

The Merseysiders are ready to pay between £5million and £10million for someone to compete with first-choice Alberto Moreno on the left side of the defence.

A Liverpool source has told Football Insider that the club’s top targets are Leicester’s Ben Chilwell, Lorient’s Raphael Guerreiro, PSV Eindhoven’s Jetro Willems and Cologne’s Jonas Hector.

As reported by Football Insider, Liverpool are in the market for someone to compete with first-choice Alberto Moreno on the left side of the defence.

The left-back quartet are on the radar of the Premier League giants as they step up plans to strengthen their squad in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool will battle Arsenal and a string of other leading Premier League clubs including Tottenham for Chilwell, 19, in the summer, while the Merseysiders are also closely monitoring Guerreiro, 22, Willems, 21, and Hector, 25.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has no plans to sell Moreno, who has had two mixed seasons at Anfield following his arrival from Sevilla, but is keen on competition for the 23-year-old.

In other Liverpool transfer news, Klopp has already begun to look towards a summer revamp with his scouts checking out a potential £12million player.
