Adam Lallana is likely to return to the Liverpool line-up, as Jurgen Klopp prepares for a clash at Anfield against West Brom.

The England international was reduced to an appearance from the bench in Monday’s 0-0 draw against fierce rivals Manchester United after picking up an injury against Swansea.

However, the 28-year-old has been in good form in front of goal in the new campaign with three goals in nine appearances and is key to Klopp’s line-up.

His return to the side will also help to push Philippe Coutinho back into the front three with Roberto Firmino leading the line ahead of theout of sorts Daniel Sturridge.

Meanwhile, Holland midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum returned to training on Wednesday, but he may return on the bench rather than straight to the line-up.

Left-back James Milner suffered a head injury in the recent match against United and faces an assessment before the Baggies clash.

However, it has been reported that the defender’s injury is not too serious and Klopp is likely to favour him again over the defensively questionable Alberto Moreno.

He will be expected to line-up alongside regular defensive trio Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Nathaniel Clyne as the German manager looks for a settled defence in what has proved to be a problematic area for the Reds in recent years.

Behind them, Klopp looks to have selected his new number one with Loris Karius, who has featured in he last four Liverpool line-ups.

The defensive unit will have to watch out for the attacking prowess of Nacer Chadli, who has started his career with Tony Pulis’ side in impressive form.

The Belgium international has scored four goals in his first five games for the Midlands outfit, meaning that Lallana, Emre Can and Jordan Henderson may have to focus on their defensive duties as well as going forward on Saturday.

The match is scheduled for BT’s evening 5.30pm kick off, which will see Liverpool in fourth place take on West Brom in 12th.
