Liverpool fans have provided mixed views on Twitter when asked by Stan Collymore if they would sell Philippe Coutinho for £65million.
The 24-year-old has been out of form in recent months and was substituted by Jurgen Klopp during his side’s 1-1 draw at Manchester City on Sunday.
Since his return from injury in mid-January, Coutinho has scored only one goal and supplied no assists during nine Premier League games.
This promoted former Reds striker Stan Collymore to state that he would sell the club’s playmaker if a substantial bid came in for him.
Broadcaster Collymore then took a poll on his personal Twitter account with 60 per cent of over 2,000 voters stating that they would sell him if £65 million was offered for his services.
Super poll rest (2k upwards for super poll). Thank you. pic.twitter.com/variq1Yk1h

However, many commenting on the result didn’t agree with the Collymore’s comments nor the result of the poll.
One fan stated that he disagreed with Collymore because every player has poor matches, just like the one Coutinho is having.
Furthermore, another supporter believes that if the club wants to progress then they should keep their best players.
One Reds fan felt that the poll started by Collymore was not answered by his fellow supporters as he disagreed with the thinking of selling Coutinho.
However, one supporter stated that he would only sell the Brazillian if an offer of £50million came in for him.
Overall, despite the result of the poll, many fans were in disagreement with Collymore that they should sell Coutinho for the right price.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Sorry @StanCollymore – can't agree with you on this one. Everyone has poor patches. Everyone.

@StanCollymore I reckon we should sell all our players and just have stacks of cash in their positions on the pitch , be boss that .

@StanCollymore if Liverpool want to make progress they will keep all first team players and add strength. Selling will only hold us back

@StanCollymore appears this hasn't just been answered by Lpool fans. Form is temporary, couple of months ago £80 mil would be no, still no
