Sadio Mane has drawn comparisons with former Liverpool ace Raheem Sterling – and the club’s supporters have taken to Twitter to pick their overwhelming favourite.
The Liverpool fans have been quick to praise the club’s current star Mane who has has settled well since his summer arrival from Southampton.
Mane, 24, has been in great form this season and scored three goals in just five league games.
He was recently named the PFA Player of the Month for August and September, something which the club’s fans were delighted with on Twitter.
England youngster Sterling enjoyed a successful spell during his time at Anfield and finished as a Premier League runner-up with the club in the 2013/14 season.
The 21-year-old completed a shock £49million deal to Manchester City in 2015 and left the Reds after graduating through their academy.
Sterling has made a great start to the Premier League this season and scored four goals in eight games across all competitions.
Both Sterling and Mane are blessed with serious pace and have been a terror for defences this campaign.
Liverpool Echo reporter Ian Doyle wrote a feature comparing Mane and Sterling, which prompted the debate on social media about who is better.
The Liverpool fans were adamant on Twitter that Mane is by far the better player and have been impressed by the Senegalese internal.
