Leeds supporters on Twitter praised the performance of midfielder Ronaldo Vieira as Garry Monk’s side picked up their first win of the season.
The Whites defied the odds by beating arch-rivals Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 at Hillsborough on Saturday afternoon to give lift-off to their Championship campaign.
Marcus Antonsson and Chris Wood punished their opponents with two counter-attack strikes to seal the club a much-needed victory.
Leeds supporters praised Vieira, 18 for his box-to-box attributes and claimed the young midfielder did not look lightweight in their shock victory.
Fans pointed towards the attackers and defenders doing their jobs, with Vieira providing balance in midfield alongside experienced new signing Liam Bridcutt.
Vieira joined the Yorkshire club on a scholarship deal last summer, before penning a two-year professional deal in May and is establishing himself in the senior set-up.
Leeds fans sent the teenager messages on social media commending him for his display against Wednesday and urging him to continue learning and developing.
Here is a selection of the supporters reacting to Vieira’s performance on Twitter:
Having Bridcutt in the midfield was always gonna be a huge boost both him and Vieria will complement each other #lufc
