Joe Allen has been named in UEFA’s Euro 2016 team of the tournament after impressive performances for Wales – and Liverpool fans on Twitter congratulated their player and now hope he stays at the club.
As reported by Football Insider, the dynamic midfielder has been linked with a move back to Swansea, but one fan wished he had more years remaining on his contract so they could have got a bigger sum for the midfielder.
The team was decided by a 13 man panel which included, former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, David Moyes and England Under-21s manager Gareth Southgate.
Others praised him for his excellent performances and said the Welshman deserved his spot in the team, alongside Germany’s Toni Kroos.
But, after putting in fine displays for his country, one supporter was hoping manager Jurgen Klopp will give the 26-year-old more of a chance in the first team.
