Liverpool outcast Mario Balotelli has been left out of the Reds first pre-season match against Tranmere on Friday – and fans of the Merseyside club have expressed their joy as the controversial striker’s days at Anfield look to be up.
The Italian striker returned to the Merseyside club for pre-season, however just two years after his £16million arrival his time may be coming to an end.
He spent last season at AC Milan and has also played for other top clubs Inter Milan and Manchester City in his career so far. The forward has also collected three Serie A titles and a Premier League medal with City in the 2011-12 season.
Balotelli does posses a good level of International pedigree having made over 30 caps for Italy, however he was not a part of Antonio Conte’s squad for Euro 2016.
Liverpool’s new signings Loris Karius, Joel Matip and Sadio Mane are all set to feature in Friday evening’s friendly.
Here are a selection of the Anfield club’s fans messages:

Happy Klopp has decided Balotelli doesn't have a role at the club. Good luck to him elsewhere! #LFC

Guess that really is the end of Balotelli at Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly in the market for a new striker, as he looks to sell Christian Benteke and Mario Balotelli while offering support and competition to the often injured Daniel Sturridge.
In other Liverpool news, Arsenal must pay £42million to prise Reds target Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.
