Sadio Mane scored a sensational goal on his Liverpool debut – and supporters took to Twitter to applaud their new man.
The Senegal international joined the Reds from Southampton earlier in the summer for £34million and he managed to get on the scoresheet with a stunning solo effort on his debut.
The 24-year-old winger started the game at the Emirates stadium and he played the full 90 minutes in a right-flank role.
The Reds won the match 4-3 thanks to the goal from Mane, two strikes from Philippe Coutinho and a cool finish from Adam Lallana to cancel out the efforts from Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Calum Chambers.
Fans of the Anfield club were very happy with what they saw from Mane in his first outing for the club.
Fans took to Twitter to share their views on the winger’s display:
Mane, coutinho, lallana, Henderson at times were fantastic. Their energy output is immense, pre season has done a load of good. Boom! #LFC

Fairly standard nervy Liverpool. Unplayable at times but weaknesses (mainly Moreno) shown against. Coutinho and Mane brilliant #LFC
